Physical Therapy Exercises
Physical therapy focuses on improving muscle flexibility and strength, joint function, and proprioception. This results in increased balance, coordination, kinesthetic awareness, and better posture. Physical therapy reduces pain and dysfunction by correcting imbalances. This is all achieved through specific exercises, therapy, and modalities individualized for each patient’s condition. Our physical therapists develop unique treatment plans for each patient’s condition.
Is Physical Therapy for Me?
Physical therapy requires active participation of the patient in the clinic 2-3 times per week (30-45 minutes) and home exercises daily. The duration of therapy varies by condition but generally consists of 4-6 weeks. Patients who participate as advised by the physical therapist receive the most benefit from their rehabilitation program.
Double your benefit within half the time…
Clinical studies have shown maximum recovery within a reduced amount of time in patients who receive physical therapy in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments. Treatment is coordinated through team meetings held by the physical therapist and the chiropractor. This partnership lends success to achieve optimal results for our patients
Every patient is unique. Using corrective exercises and stretching is a great addition to chiropractic treatment. We use specific exercises that cater to each patient's condition. Performing these exercises can keep patient's muscles from pulling a spinal correction out of alignment. Not only are these exercises important in the office before a spinal manipulation but they are important at home too, to improve strength, posture and mobility.
